Today, Saturday, I want to talk about a light topic. Some time ago I wrote a post about the places where I would read , reviewing some that I had previously rejected, such as the bathroom. But where is the best place to write? And how to write, above all? I don't just mean fiction, but also our blog posts. Where would you write? For now, I have to settle for writing on a small desk. And I write in absolute silence. Write with music in the background Several times I have read about people who write with a musical background.
I tried a couple of times too, but my mind went Phone Number Data away along with the music, somewhere in the world of sounds and melody. Music is distraction. My brain needs to stay focused on what I'm doing. To tell the truth, I almost never listen to music, unless I'm in the car, but as a passenger. For all other activities, sounds are distracting to me. The right environment for writing I think it's the same for reading. A room used as a library, full of books, which bring inspiration. A table with a laptop and a dictionary at hand. Paper for taking notes and some books for documentation or just for show. Here is my ideal place. Writing and reading are activities closely linked to each other, so for me they need the same environment.
Ah, cell phone in another room and on silent mode, as indeed it already is now. And the internet is disabled, otherwise one hop on Twitter, one on email and goodbye writing. Images of people writing leaning against a tree, in a cafe or on a bench represent forbidden worlds in my eyes. I, who would live in the countryside, in the middle of a forest, would never be able to write sitting on the grass. Nature is another distraction: I would wander around with my eyes or take nature photos. Or playing with the cat that came near me. Writing among people is unacceptable for me, like reading. I would be really inhibited. The problem will arise if you decide to attend some courses: having to write side by side with others will be a serious problem. I'll have to shield the laptop.
